Whimsy Stamps Sarah

I do love me a traditional green and red colored Christmas card so for this one I started with picking papers from Maja's new collection "Joyous Winterdays".   As always, Maja has outdone themselves again!  The cute image is from Whimsy Stamps simply called "Sarah".

The Scrapiniec piece I've used here is "Mistletoe Star".  I colored it by simply applying my TH candied apple distress marker directly to the chipboard.  After I finished, for the green I added Ranger crackle accents and for the red I added some red Stickles to change it up a bit.  In the store there is a new set of Joy stamps called "Scrabble Stamp & Die" and that's what I've used to make up my JOY sentiment.  That set is FUN and I can tell already that I'll be using it quite a bit!

I've added a few Scrapiniec "Nordic Sweater Deer" that I added some TH gathered twigs ink to.  The chipboard is very easy to add color as it soaks it up just the right amount.  The lace is called "Aspire" but currently out of stock so if you're looking for it just email Tracy however, there are others in the shop you might be interested in.  😀

Here I've used Joy's "Winter Wishes Lantern" die and then added my usual bouquet of pretty flowers.  I love the new red and green 2-tone pomegranate apples that came into the shop.  They are soooo perfect for Christmas cards!  I've also added some Joycraft Berries into the mix, which are also new.

Thanks again for coming by!!  We appreciate all your visits and comments.

Have a great weekend!!!

Cute little Foxes

Good Morning,

I have been playing with the gorgeous Maja Designs Joyous Winterdays papers again & have made a Christmas Lollipop Card, these papers are just super I love em all.

I have coloured up Wild Rose Studios Foxes in Stocking Stamp using my Copic Markers, I have fussily cut out the stamp & have added a little bit of sparkle to their hats & the fluffy top of the stocking.

I have used white pleated ruffle tulle trim around the outside of the circle & have layered the Joyous Winterdays papers on top.

I have made a couple of Poinsettias out of white foamiran & given them glittery stamens as I do love a bit of bling.

Thank you for stopping by & make sure you pop back tomorrow for some more inspiration from the team.

Have a fab Day

Poinsettia tutorial

Hello everyone!

Did you remember my Glove card last time I've shown you? Today I'm going to explain you how to make this easy but very attractive Poinsettia Flowers which is at about 7 cm, suitable for any Christmas project.

First of all I made my templates which look like those shown on the picture. You also can use Rosy Owl Poinsettia flower set.
The larger five-petals template is 8 cm diameter circumference and smaller one is 6.5 cm.

Next, I cut two larger and one small petals out of red regular foamiran.

After that started shaping them in the way shown:

 Heated every each petal...

and pushed it with the middle size ball from the Flower Making Tools.

After shaping all of them five, I gently twisted their edges like that:

My petals got those shape at the front side,

and that, at the back side.

I assembled the petals overlapping, started from the biggest one and finished with the smallest one at the top :

It was time to attach the stamens. I chose Heart Head Olive Stamens (at about 7 double heads in a bunch) which I folded with a piece of florist wire.

I dyed them with bright green oil pastel and infixed them in the previously punched a little hole in the middle of the flower.

Glued the stamens at the back side of the flower, then my flower was completed.

There are some more of my beautiful Red Poinsettias!

Have a lovely week for all of you!

December Hugs and Christmas Wishes

Hello everyone,

I have made a Chrsitmas card using Pion Design's Christmas Wishes collection of papers and used the Pion Design Palette Green VI to diecut the LDRS Holly Border and Fantasy Fir Branches 2.  I used the Dutch Doobadoo Pearl Pen for the little berries on the holly.

I made Foamiran poinsettias using White and Burgundy Foamiran.  I added Heart Head stamens in Olive and Burgundy and finished with sisal, wax cord, vintage straws, frosted pomegranates, cinnamon sticks and a bark star.

I love the new borders dies from LDRS and I also love the Wycinanka Tatting Chritmas chipboard, doesn't it look gorgeous  I added the sentiment from the Christmas Wishes Border sheet to finish this card.

Hope you like it

An advent wreath

 Hello everyone!

I know, an advent wreath is a german tradition - but it may have made its way to other countries as well. It's a wreath with 4 candles and each of the four sundays before christmas one more candle gets lit up so all four of them are burning on Christmas Eve.

I have made a not to traditional advent wreath to share with you today:

Usually they are made from fir branches. But well, we papercrafters have to think outside the box, right?

A box is also what my wreath is put onto - with a large tag in the background.

I have cut the box from brown cardstock and also cut the tag slightly bigger to glue behind it and make it more stable.
Around the box I've wrapped one of the borders from a designer's paper by Pion Design.

I've put a square from the beautiful paper with the hearts print on top of the wreath, then I've cut four holes into it so the lights can be put through them. The main part of the lights is hidden inside the box.

The wreath is made from a ring of green cardstock from which I've cut out the four holes again, making them match in position.

Of course an advent wreath also needs some decorations. Here I used a few of the chipboard stars by Scrapiniec and some 5mm glass stamen - again only using the ends here.

As I said before, I've glued a large tag to the back of the box. The tag - and the saying - are both cut from papers by Pion Design.

Onto the tag I then glued the Tree with Snowflakes. It was cut from white cardstock and from green cardstock also. I've cut the green tree down a bit so the snowflakes and a white "frame" from the white cardstock can be seen. I used a white gelly marker to add the gardland to the tree.

This cute elf is by Whimsy Stamps - and he's ready to decorate the tree.
He was colored in with Copics, then cut out and put in front of the tree. I also used golden Stickles for the bells on his costume.

Next to the elf I've added two white paper roses.

And since I said I made an advent wreath I also needed it to be able to light up. You only have to screw closed the little bulbs. Best thing about it is that they all need to be switched on individually, so you can light up just one, two, three or all four "candles" - just like it needs to be done.

Have a happy sunday everyone!
Hugs, Kathrin
